Description

This valuable tool obtains accurate samples of sharp sand from barges, cars, or storage piles. It is easily inserted if the sand is not packed. Pockets in brass core of steel sheath, spaced at 2 1/2 in. (64mm) intervals, trap thirteen representative samples. Each pocket is 3/8 -in. (9.5mm) in diameter, 1/2-in. (12.7mm) in depth. A steel rod handle holds the core of the sampler in the sheath.
