Description
Shenzhen Coastal Trading Co. , Ltd.Supply SVMS SQTK Option B Pure Steam Quality Tester, SVMS Steam Quality Tester, SQTK Steam Quality Tester, SQ-Pro Steam Quality Tester.
According to EN 285, testing of the steam supply of sterilizers used in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industries has been required for many years. The tests specified in EN285 have been adopted by many organizations.
These tests are designed for the following measurements (see overview of each test below):
Non condensable gas.
steam superheating.
Steam dryness value.
Steam samples are used for laboratory analysis.
The SVMS steam quality test suite series is designed with ease of use in mind.
Non condensable gas test
The purpose of non condensable gas testing is to demonstrate that all parts of the sterilizer load (especially for porous load items) will not be damaged due to the presence of non condensable gas.
The measurement of non condensable gases is carried out by using water to cool the steam sample through an efficient condenser. Water can be supplied directly from pressurized water supply or simply by siphoning from the water tank at a flow rate of 200 milliliters per minute, provided that a low water head of 1.0 meters is maintained and the temperature does not exceed 25 ° C.
When the sampled steam condenses, any non condensable gas that may exist is released and separated from the generated condensate into two observation glass columns. The amount of gas and steam condensation is measured by a “zero adjustable” scale installed behind two mirrors. By controlling the steam flow rate through the needle valve inlet and measuring the temperature of the condensate through a thermocouple installed at the condenser outlet, the temperature of the condensate is maintained above 80 ℃. For repeated testing, return to the “zero mark” position by opening the condensate discharge valve and gas discharge valve. When a new sample needs to be taken, the valve is closed.
Each sample can have a volume of up to 14ml of gas and 140ml of condensate
If the ratio of gas to condensate is less than 3.5%, the results of the non condensing gas test are considered acceptable. In addition to calculating on a memory stick, an electronic calculator and table are also provided to facilitate the calculation of incompressible percentages
steam superheating
The purpose of the experiment is to prove that the moisture in the steam supply is sufficient to prevent steam from overheating when entering the extended space of the sterilization room.
In this test, the temperature of the vapor reaching the atmosphere through a hole in the pitot tube is measured.
The temperature is measured by using a thermocouple located in the center of the expansion tube above the pitot tube. If the temperature of the steam is 25 ° C lower than the temperature of the local boiling water, it is considered acceptable, and the temperature of the local boiling water depends on the height.
Steam dryness value
The purpose of steam dryness value testing is to ensure that there is an acceptable moisture content in the steam supply.
Too little moisture:
The possibility of overheating
Due to the fact that water is a key factor in decomposing spores to form the cellular structure of organisms, it can prevent optimal sterilization conditions from being achieved in the load.
Excessive moisture:
At the end of the cycle, the load of the sterilizer may not dry to an acceptable level. Wet packaging materials may cause microbial barriers to break, paving the way for re contamination.
Use a stainless steel vacuum bottle for testing through thermal balance. Fill the flask with a known amount of water at a known temperature. Then, the steam condenses in the flask, thereby increasing the temperature of the water. Measure the final mass and temperature of water and include them in the formula. If the water temperature is low or the final mass is large, it indicates that the moisture content of the steam is high, that is, the value is low.
Steam sample collection
Due to direct contact with items that may come into direct contact with patients in healthcare applications, any pollutants present in the steam supply may cause adverse effects.
