| The No. 754-A Sand Rammer is used to prepare standard 11/8 in. dia. x 2 in. (28.575 x 50.8 mm) test specimens for elevated temperature tests using the No. 785 Thermolab Dilatometer. This rammer has the same fundamental features as the No. 315 Sand Rammer, but includes a special crosshead for adjusting the height of effective cam rise. With this crosshead, the impact energy can be adjusted to produce specimens rammed to any mold hardness.Includes a No. 315-17 Sand Rammer Base, No. 754A-7 Specimen Tube, No. 754A-3 Stripping Post Assembly, and No. 754A-12 Centering Plug. The No. 422-A Compression Heads are optional accessories available for attachment to the No. 400 series Universal Sand Strength Machine for determining compressive strength of the 1 1/8 in. dia. x 2 in. test specimens.
