Special Functions<\/h4>\n

\u25cf DAR (Dielectric Absorption Ratio)
\nThe Dielectric Absorption Ratio is the ratio of the insulation resistance measured at 1 minute divided by the insulation resistance measured at 30 seconds. Thirty seconds after starting a test (with Ener-SaveTM disabled), the tester will beep,indicating that the resistance value measured at 30 seconds has been saved. One minute after starting a test, the tester will beep again, indicating that the DAR result has been computed. The display format then changes to display the DAR result.
\n\u25cf PI (Polarization Index)
\nThe Polarization Index is the ratio of the insulation resistance measured at 10 minutes divided by the insulation resistance measured at 1 minute. One minute after starting a test, the resistance value is saved and the DAR is displayed. The test then continues, and after 10 minutes (with Ener-SaveTM disabled), the tester will beep again, indicating that the PI result has been computed. The display format changes to display the PI result. The tester will AutoStop at 10 minutes.
\n\u25cf Voltmeter
\nWhen testing insulation resistance while there is a presence of voltage (whether ACV or DCV) on the measured object, conventional insulation testers are highly susceptible to damage. With this new line of insulation testers, it has the ability to switch to voltage detection mode without damaging the once it detects the presence of voltage. It will also display the voltage finding on the OLED display screen. With this new and unique function, it will allow the user to safely rule out the possibility of any presence of voltage on the measured object prior to measuring its insulation.
\n\u25cf MOV and Gas Arrester Testing
\nMost equipments and electrical installations are protected by MOVs and Gas arresters. They can test these devices to establish if the devices are still operating correctly or not. Energy conservation is featured on all these new Advanced Products.<\/p>\n
